Another grand project has been engineered for Dubai. This is a mini-town with autonomous climate conditions. A park under the roof, health-care centers, shops, theaters and the biggest trade centre in the world named “Mall of the world” will be situated on the territory of the mini-town. All the structures will be covered with a huge glass cone with specific climate conditions.
According to Dubai Holding, which belongs to the emir of Dubai - sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the area of the complex is about 28 ha.
The majority of the structures shall be covered by the glass cone. The climate conditions inside shall be maintained by the unique system of air conditioning. The premises shall be connected by the covered pedestrian streets equipped with climate-control systems in the season of high summer temperatures. Picturesque footpaths shall be laid for pedestrians in the park with the length of about 7 km. The cone is to be opened in the winter months.
The main aim of the grand project is to extend the length of the touristic season. In hot months the temperature outdoors in the capital of the United Arabian Emirates is more is more than 40 degrees what influences the number of incoming tourists. The area where the comfort temperature range is maintained all year round with the help of the air conditioning is likely to attract more tourists.
According to the forecasts, the Mall of the World will be annually visited by around 180 million residents and tourists.
