Transregional student competition “Heating supply and ventilation”

From 10^th to 14^th of March Novosibirsk state university of architecture and civil engineering (Sibstrin) hosted annual competition for university “Heating supply and ventilation” department students.

The transregional competition has been organized since 2005 with its history and traditions. This event is participated annually by the student teams from the universities of Siberia, Ural, the Far East and the European part of Russia. One of the objectives of the competition is consolidation efforts to prepare qualified specialists in the sphere of assembly and design of engineering systems.

The anniversary competition which was held this year for the tenth time raised not only Russian student teams but also students from the near-abroad Kyrgyzstan. The total number of teams was 12.

The opening ceremony took place on 10^th of March. The contenders were greeted by the vice-rector for education of the Novosibirsk state university of architecture and civil engineering (Sibstrin) V.Becker, chairman of the faculty for engineering and ecology N. Sineeva and other lecturers.

The contenders had to take part in a 3-day program which consisted of two a row of tasks.

According to Konstantin Plavinsky, Director of Siberian branch of OOO “VILO RUS”, such a competition is a large contribution to the development of engineering.

“As producers we understand the necessity to boost the image of the national engineering science. That’s why we back student competitions. Future specialists get an opportunity to gain fresh knowledge and get in touch with the modern equipment and aspects of its use, ” said K. Plavinsky.
